That being said, my advice is to indulge yourself in the experience just for the sake of it. As you progress with the episodes Nao too will seem more and more stupid but it supports the finale and the whole plot to some extent. The calculations and tactics too became a bit confusing at the same time. I think it could have been dealt with a more subtle way.
It beat around the bush too much to show the subplots and flashbacks which consumed the last 2 episode (12 & 13) fully.
Although the 1st 3 rounds of the game were highly enjoyable the last round seemed to drag a bit. I haven't read any manga so this is coming from someone who is just watching this show like any other, without any prior knowledge of the plot or expectations. That being said, the acting is below average and sometimes irritating. The premise though not very unique is thought provoking and somewhat original. It starts when Nao (too honest for her own good) gets an invite for the Liar Game and is forced to play it unintentionally. The show is truly captivating and takes its time to explain everything in great length. Could Ishak be next on the list, or is he the man responsible? Tracking down his more ‘unsavoury’ allies, Serena is shocked to encounter a familiar face: that of her grieving ex-partner, former Malaysian ICD officer Megat Jamil (Bront Palarae).If u remember few of your maths lessons from high school and appreciate probability, you will enjoy this for sure. As Serena and Heri work together to catch the killer, their inquiries lead them to industrialist/kingpin Datuk Ishak Hassan (Wan Hanafi Su), whose prominent family and known associates all have some connection to the victims. Seeking answers, Heri finds a way to insert himself into the Malaysian investigation. Meanwhile, in Jakarta, for ICD Lieutenant Heriyanto Salim (Ario Bayu), the case turns personal when his brother is found murdered in similar circumstances.
